As of 01.01.2023, the population of the district was 232.68 thousand people, or 3rd place in Minsk.

There are 1988 residential buildings in the district, 788 of which are serviced by the Municipal Unitary Enterprise "Housing and Communal Services of Pervomaysky District of Minsk city", with a total area of ​​3888 thousand square meters, and 162 residential buildings are self-service (homeowners' associations, housing and communal services companies), 1038 are individual residential buildings.

Number of streets (lanes, passages) – 166 with a total length of 129.3 km.

The Culture and Recreation Park named after Chelyuskin crew members and the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus are located on the territory of the district.
