Pervomaysky District is rightfully considered the greenest and most ecologically clean district of Minsk. In terms of green space (840.7 hectares), it ranks first in the city. The Botanical Garden, Chelyuskin crew members Park, the park near the National Library of Belarus, the forests of Sevastopol Park, the square in microdistrict “Uruchye”, the Boulder Museum, and the Slepyanskaya water system are favorite recreation areas for Minsk residents.

Pervomaysky District also has its own architectural distinctions. "Vostok" microdistrict, built in the late 60s - early 70s of the last century, has not lost its attractiveness and harmony, characteristic of a single ensemble development.

The city was decorated with bright mosaics on the faces of 17-story buildings, created by the People's Artist of Belarus, Honored Artist of the BSSR Alexander Kishchenko: the panels "Warrior City", "City of Science", "City of Culture" and "Builder City".

The architectural pearl of Pervomaysky district and the decoration of Minsk City is the building of the National Library in the form of a giant crystal, which is intended to store and develop the main treasures of the world - knowledge and wisdom.

Microdistrict Uruchye is home to the Stone Park. It was created in the 1980s by enthusiastic scientists from the Institute of Geochemistry and Geophysics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The territory of Belarus is simulated on a 6-hectare site, with the main settlements of the country designated by glacial boulders and smaller stones.

The Children's Railway is one of those original structures on Independence Avenue that attracts the attention of guests of Minsk. "Small Belarusian Railway" - this is how Minsk Children's Railway is often called. Despite the name, everything here is real - two diesel locomotives with six carriages, traffic rules, drivers, passengers, and station masters. This road differs from the main railway only in the gauge width (almost twice as narrow as the "adult" one). Traveling along the children's railway is pleasant and not tiring, the length of the route is only four kilometers, there are only three stations along the way - "Zaslonovo", "Pionerskaya" and "Sosnovy Bor". "Zaslonovo", located on Independence Avenue, is known to all Minsk residents. And it is here that future young railway workers and their passengers come for the first time. Here they study, relax, celebrate holidays and receive guests.

On weekdays and holidays, Minsk residents and numerous guests of the capital come to visit a unique complex — the House of Mercy. It is unique not only for its architectural design. First of all, the help and care that surrounds all the wards here is priceless. The House of Mercy is built in the shape of an Orthodox cross according to the design of the architect L. Pogorelov. The rehabilitation center "Eleos" received a permanent residence in the House of Mercy, which means "mercy" in Greek. The center can compete with any foreign clinic — the service here is at the European level. The House of Mercy has also become a kind of cultural and educational center for Orthodox Minsk residents. Not only parishioners and Sunday school students, but also all residents of the city gather for the Christmas holidays.

Of great importance in the spiritual, moral and patriotic education of the district's population is the Memorial Temple in honor of All Saints and in memory of the victims who served to save our Fatherland. The majestic structure was conceived as a Temple in memory of those who laid down their lives on the battlefields for the Fatherland, who were repressed and whose lives were ruined in peacetime in camps and prisons, in memory of the children who died and all the innocently killed. The new Temple has 13 bells. Three of them were raised to the bell tower in September 2006. The largest, five-ton bell has the words engraved on it: "A gift from the first President of the Republic of Belarus." The other two were presented on behalf of His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Rus' and Metropolitan Filaret of Minsk and Slutsk, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus. In October 2008, the temple was crowned with the last three bells. Next to the temple under construction, a wooden chapel in honor of the Holy Trinity was built without a single nail, the height of which is 31.5 m, which makes this temple the largest among religious buildings made of wood.

The Cinema House opened its doors on September 11, 2005, after the completion of a comprehensive reconstruction of the capital cinema “Partizan”, carried out in pursuance of the instructions of the President of the Republic of Belarus A. Lukashenko. The Cinema House fully meets modern requirements. The cinema is equipped with a surround sound system “Dolby Digital” and the first in the Republic of Belarus film projection equipment “Kinoton” with a system for non-stop film demonstration, and an automated ticket sales system has been introduced in the branch. The Cinema House has a stylish interior, a comfortable cinema hall with soft theater chairs, places for the disabled people, a conference hall, and a convenient parking lot. This is a favorite meeting place for viewers with famous Belarusian and foreign filmmakers. Creative and anniversary evenings are regularly held here. The Cinema House annually hosts Minsk International Film Festival “Listapad”.

A well-known saying goes: "Everything you look at with love seems beautiful." Everything that the residents of Pervomaysky District create with their minds and talent, with their own hands, is done only with love - for their city, for their country, for each person.
